Soccer Game Preview: Hardin-Jefferson vs. Jasper

Hardin-Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Jasper recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks will head out to take on the Jasper Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hardin-Jefferson fought the good fight in their overtime game against Bridge City on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Hawks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Jasper fell victim to Vidor and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 1-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Hardin-Jefferson came up short against Jasper in their previous meeting back in January, falling 2-0. Can Hardin-Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
