Boca Ciega skates past Northeast with ease

The Boca Ciega Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Northeast on the road to the tune of 71-27. Boca Ciega has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Boca Ciega's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacquavia Ferguson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ferguson has scored all season. JaLainah Hunt was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with five assists.

The win got Boca Ciega back to even at 5-5. As for Northeast, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Boca Ciega's road trip will continue as they head out to face Plant at 4:30 p.m. on January 12th. Plant presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Boca Ciega in Florida (Plant is ranked 135th, while Boca Ciega is ranked 355th). As for Northeast, they will head out on the road to square off against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinellas Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
