Softball Recap: West Park's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

It's playoff time, and West Park had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Roseville Tigers on Wednesday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Emma Juarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jolene White, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mady Schultze, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

The victory (which was West Park's ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Roseville, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10.

As of now, neither West Park nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
