Baseball Game Preview: Kennewick Lions vs. Kamiakin Braves

The Kennewick Lions will face off against the Kamiakin Braves at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Kennewick sitting on eight straight victories and Kamiakin on seven.

If Kennewick beats Kamiakin with six runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Lions came out on top against Southridge by a score of 6-3 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kamiakin made easy work of Walla Walla on Tuesday and carried off a 13-7 win. Considering the Braves have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennewick's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Kamiakin, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Kennewick got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Kamiakin by a conclusive 16-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
