Football Game Preview: Lake Zurich Bears vs. Stevenson Patriots + How To Watch

The Lake Zurich Bears will challenge the Stevenson Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Zurich's defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so Stevenson's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Lake Zurich will head out to face Stevenson after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Bears fell 27-17 to Warren Township.

Lake Zurich's loss came about despite a quality game from Christopher Chang, who picked up 113 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Stevenson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down Zion-Benton 40-21 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their 13-point performance the game before.

Stevenson pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.9 points on average over those games. As for Lake Zurich, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Lake Zurich couldn't quite finish off Stevenson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 20-17. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
