Soccer Game Preview: Timber Creek vs. Bell

The Timber Creek Falcons will face off against the Bell Blue Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Timber Creek's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Timber Creek is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Northwest on Tuesday. Timber Creek fell just short of Northwest by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Bell kept a clean sheet against Trinity on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans. Given the Blue Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Trojans are ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bell pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matchups. As for Timber Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Timber Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Bell in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 2-1. Will Timber Creek repeat their success, or does Bell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
