Vandalia's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles 22-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Vandals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Katy Sefton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Elaina Hagy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Vandalia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in three consecutive matches.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Vandalia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 win against Althoff Catholic on the 9th. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-3 defeat against Hutsonville/Palestine on the 9th.
