Volleyball Game Preview: Antioch Sequoits vs. Belvidere North Blue Thunder

The Antioch Sequoits will challenge the Belvidere North Blue Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Antioch came up short against Libertyville and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Sequoits in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Belvidere North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Boylan Catholic.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-4.

Antioch's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Belvidere North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Antioch was able to grind out a solid win over Belvidere North in their previous meeting last Friday, winning 2-0. Will the Sequoits repeat their success, or do the Blue Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
