Basketball Recap: South Eugene Takes a Loss

South Eugene lost against Sheldon back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The South Eugene Axe took a blow against the Sheldon Irish, falling 56-27. The Axe's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Sheldon, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Eugene will host Roseburg at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. South Eugene is facing Roseburg at the right time seeing as Roseburg is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sheldon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Medford at 6:45 p.m. Sheldon will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: North Medford will have lost three straight heading into Friday's game.
