Volleyball Recap: Wauconda Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Wauconda had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carmel Corsairs on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21.

Makayla Berg paced Wauconda's offense, picking up four kills. Berg got some help from Avery Geoghan and her seven assists. Gabriella Lichon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wauconda will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Richmond-Burton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carmel, they will take on Antioch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
