Basketball Recap: Carson Vineyard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Argonia over South Barber

Argonia lost against South Barber back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Argonia Raiders fell 55-46 to the South Barber Chieftains. The defeat leaves the Raiders without a win on the season.

Argonia lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carson Vineyard, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. CORBIN KOEHLER was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points and six boards.

Argonia's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for South Barber, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Argonia and Burrton will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Argonia is facing Burrton at the right time seeing as Burrton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for South Barber, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wichita HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
