Baseball Recap: Forbush's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Starmount last Friday, Forbush came back down to earth. The Forbush Falcons fell just short of the West Wilkes Blackhawks by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blackhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bo Moxley was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Colton Moxley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Forbush's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for West Wilkes, their record is now 2-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Forbush beat West Wilkes by a score of 13-5 on Friday.
