Softball Game Preview: Mansfield Tigers vs. Crowley Eagles

The Mansfield Tigers will challenge the Crowley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Mansfield came up short against Lake Ridge and fell 8-5.

Meanwhile, Crowley lost 18-4 to Boswell on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Anayah Walker-Small made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Riley Bell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Mansfield has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. Crowley's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2.
