Basketball Game Preview: South Knox Spartans vs. North Knox Warriors

South Knox hasn't had much luck against North Knox recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

South Knox is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed by Sullivan to the tune of 72-33. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans who have now won nine matches in a row.

Meanwhile, North Knox waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They claimed a resounding 53-15 win over the Vikings. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Vikings are ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Knox's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for South Knox, their win bumped their record up to 23-2.

Everything came up roses for South Knox against North Knox in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-49 victory. Will South Knox repeat their success, or does North Knox have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
