Douglas kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 42-6 defeat at the hands of the Cascade Christian Challengers. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Challengers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Douglas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Devon Taylor.

Cascade Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryson Walker out in front who rushed for 67 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Walker didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble, made four total tackles, and defended two passes. Mikey Covey was another key player, gaining 112 total yards and a touchdown.

Cascade Christian pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
