Basketball Recap: Wooddale Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sheffield on February 10th, Wooddale came back down to earth. The Wooddale Cardinals received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 73-56 to the Fairley Bulldogs. The Cardinals have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Fairley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Chatman, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Chatman's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Alarin Polk, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

Wooddale's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Fairley, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-5.

As of now, neither Wooddale nor Fairley have any future games scheduled.
