Natalia came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Lytle, but Aliana Cardenas wouldn't allow it. The Pirates took down the Mustangs 47-31 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Cardenas, who shot 41% from the field on her way to 21 points and eight boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Lytle's victory bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Natalia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lytle is set to take on their familiar foe Jourdanton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Natalia will square off against rival Hondo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
