The South Newton Rebels will challenge the Twin Lakes Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in South Newton's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Twin Lakes has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
South Newton will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Faith Christian on Tuesday. The Rebels put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-2 victory. With that win, the Rebels brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Briley Iseminger made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Faye Springsteen was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Corbett, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Twin Lakes got the win against Caston on Friday by a conclusive 15-5. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly ten runs.
Myley Spriggs spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Leah Shrock, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Miya Clerget, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Twin Lakes hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caston struck out 11 times.
South Newton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Twin Lakes, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
