The Lowry Buckaroos are taking a road trip to challenge the McQueen Lancers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous two meetings between Lowry and Elko, and Lowry kept the tradition alive. The Buckaroos' pitcher stepped up to hand the Indians a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Buckaroos in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Maite Bengochea made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kira Wiley, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Fallon Fowler was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Lowry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elko only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, McQueen waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Mustangs 4-2.
Chloe Jaborski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ashlyn Guber and Vanessa Bein did most of the damage at the plate: Guber scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Bein scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Lilly Fanene also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Lowry pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for McQueen, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
McQueen's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Lowry has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game.
