Volleyball Recap: Sandwich Indians vs. DePue Little Giants        
        
		
             On Saturday, the Sandwich Indians earned  a  2-0 victory over the DePue Little Giants.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sandwich took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11,  25-12.
 Sandwich's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Shayla Green led the charge by  getting five  aces. Those five  aces gave  Green a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Londyn Scott, who  had six  kills and three  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Sandwich  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 18  aces. That's the most  aces they've managed all season.
 Sandwich's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for DePue,  they are  on  a  29-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.
 Sandwich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  victory against Ashton-Franklin Center on the 19th. As for DePue, they will venture away from home to  challenge Hinckley-Big Rock  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
