Softball Recap: Fayetteville Christian Takes a Loss

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, Fayetteville Christian was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They lost 18-2 to the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-10 back in March.

Abigail Lagos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Bailey Johnson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Fayetteville Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Northwood Temple Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

As of now, neither Fayetteville Christian nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
