Basketball Recap: Pen Argyl's Losing Streak Snapped at 17 Games

Pen Argyl can bid farewell to their 17-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past the Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars with points to spare, taking the game 44-30.

Despite the loss, Lehigh Valley Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anders Heiney posted 18 points.

Pen Argyl's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Lehigh Valley Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Pen Argyl will host Moravian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lehigh Valley Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-44 defeat against Brandywine Heights Area on the 18th.
