Softball Recap: Tolland Eagles vs. Glastonbury Guardians

Tolland had lost six straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-10 to make it seven. They lost 19-3 to the Glastonbury Guardians. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Guardians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Glastonbury, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games.

For Glastonbury's part, Lauren Meehan looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meehan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
