Basketball Game Preview: Lehigh Lightning vs. Estero Wildcats

Lehigh is a perfect 10-0 against Estero since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lightning will welcome the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Lehigh knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Estero likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Lehigh didn't have too much trouble with Naples as they won 82-68. The victory continues a trend for the Lightning in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Timothy Thurman produced another solid performance almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. He has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 45% every time he's hit the court this season. Max Etienne was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 17 points.

Lehigh was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Estero). They walked away with an 82-72 win over Ida Baker on Tuesday.

Lehigh's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Estero, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Everything came up roses for Lehigh against Estero when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 82-50 victory. In that matchup, the Lightning amassed a halftime lead of 50-28, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
