Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Pleasant vs. Davison

The Mt. Pleasant Oilers will take on the Davison Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Pleasant is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

On Monday, Mt. Pleasant was able to grind out a solid win over Powers Catholic, taking the game 3-1. Given Mt. Pleasant's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Powers Catholic are ranked 163rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, neither Davison nor Bay City Western could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

With that draw, Davison's record moves to 4-8-2. As for Mt. Pleasant, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1-3.
