Soccer Recap: Jay Extends Winning Streak to Six

Jay won the last time they faced Southside and things went their way on Monday too. The Jay Mustangs put the hurt on the Southside Cardinals with a sharp 5-0 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won ten matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Larixsa Plascencia and Abigayle Rodriguez scored all five of Jay's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

The win was the sixth in a row for Jay, bringing their record for this year to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six contests. As for Southside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Coincidentally, Jay and Southside will both be playing South San Antonio the next time they take the pitch. Jay will head out to face South San Antonio at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Southside will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
