Trinity has gone a perfect 10-0 against Milton Hershey recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Trinity will bounce into Friday's game after beating Camp Hill, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Trinity's pitchers stepped up to hand Camp Hill a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 30, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Trinity got a great performance from Liam Sexton as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched. Sexton has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dominic Haas, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. Gavin Myers also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Milton Hershey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to Middletown. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly ten runs.
Milton Hershey saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deven Carbonell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Trinity pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Milton Hershey, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Milton Hershey's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Trinity has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Milton Hershey, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Trinity keep running through batters, or will Milton Hershey buck the trend?
