Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crested Butte). They came out on top against the Vail Christian Saints by a score of 31-22 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Crested Butte's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Grace Miller led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to six steals and five boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least a third of the Titans' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rio Crabtree, who posted 12 points.

Despite the defeat, Vail Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Vanessa Reyes scored nine points and four steals. That was a full 40.9% of the Saints' points, marking the third time in a row Reyes has put up more than a third of the team's points. Susie Irving was another key player, posting six points.

The win got Crested Butte back to even at 2-2. As for Vail Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Crested Butte has already played their next contest, a 30-20 victory against Ouray on the 17th. As for Vail Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vail Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026. The matchup will give the Saints their first taste of in-conference action this season.
