Caesar Rodney entered their tilt with Archmere Academy on Saturday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Auks. The Riders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kurt Helsdon was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Parenteau, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Teegan Monroney was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Caesar Rodney kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Caesar Rodney pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Archmere Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

The Golden Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Riders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Archmere Academy, they will take on Newark Charter School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
