Basketball Recap: Dirigo Piles Up the Points Against Sacopee Valley

Dirigo entered their tilt with Sacopee Valley on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took their matchup with ease, bagging an 82-48 win over the Sacopee Valley Hawks. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Dirigo's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Sacopee Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dirigo won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Monmouth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
