Basketball Game Preview: Holmes County Blue Devils vs. Freeport Bulldogs

Holmes County is 9-1 against Freeport since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Holmes County Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Freeport Bulldogs at 6:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Holmes County's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Freeport has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Holmes County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Sneads for the full four quarters, racking up a 93-19 victory. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Emma Whitkaer, who went 10 of 14 on her way to 22 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bri Adams, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Freeport came into Thursday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Ponce De Leon by a score of 55-43 on Thursday.

Freeport's win bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Holmes County, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.
