Baseball Recap: St. Augustine Takes a Loss

St. Augustine suffered their biggest loss since March 31st on Monday. They lost 8-1 to the Patrick Henry Patriots. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

St. Augustine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shane Miranda, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Augustine and nudges their season record down to 12-7. As for Patrick Henry, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6-1.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to an 0-0 tie on Tuesday.
