Basketball Recap: Mid-Missouri Homeschool Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Carter Lovell and Mitchell Pfaff

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool was the 71-35 winner over Omaha Lightning when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mavericks lost 69-47 to Omaha Lightning on Friday. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from Mitchell Pfaff and Carter Lovell. Pfaff shot 53% from the field to rack up 17 points along with six boards and three steals, while Lovell went 6-for-15 en route to 15 points and four steals. Lovell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Liam Henness, who posted seven points.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Omaha Lightning, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool has already played their next matchup, a 62-53 loss against Christ Prep Academy on the 5th. Omaha Lightning does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
