Baseball Recap: Rio Mesa Triumphs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rio Mesa). They skirted past the Santa Paula Cardinals 4-3. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 8-3 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Rio Mesa's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Damien Valdez, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
