Basketball Recap: Bluefield Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Bluefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 66-55 to the Wyoming East Warriors. The Beavers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Bluefield's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-7. As for Wyoming East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Bluefield has already played their next matchup (against Princeton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wyoming East will square off against Summers County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wyoming East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Summers County likes a good challenge.
