Volleyball Recap: Dunlap Comes Up Short

Dunlap lost against Limestone back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets.

While Dunlap had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Dunlap still got an impressive performance from Tessa Arnott, who had 12 digs, eight kills, two blocks, and two aces. Arnott is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 21 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayla Reddy, who had 12 digs and four assists.

Dunlap's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Limestone, the win keeps them at an undefeated 26-0.

Dunlap has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against East Peoria on the 9th. As for Limestone, they will host Morton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
