The Jackson Timberwolves will challenge the Ballard Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Jackson proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Lake Stevens 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Timberwolves have posted since May 17, 2024.

Allie Thomsen (2025-UW) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Madi Jacquot (2027) was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ballard). They came out on top against Lincoln by a score of 19-14 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Lynx: they've now won six in a row.
The team relied heavily on Wren Wald, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and five RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Katie Davis, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Ballard hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive contests.
Jackson's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Ballard, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jackson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ballard struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Jackson took their win against Ballard in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
