Central Hardin is a perfect 4-0 against Breckinridge County since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Central Hardin will host Breckinridge County at 6:00 p.m. Breckinridge County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Central Hardin, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Central Hardin turned things around against North Hardin on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Trojans. The Bruins' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Chase Price, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Devin Hubbard was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Breckinridge County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Owensboro Catholic on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Aces by a score of 4-2. The contest marked the Fighting Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Adam Howell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Central Hardin's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Breckinridge County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Central Hardin has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Breckinridge County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
