Volleyball Recap: Southmont Comes Up Short

Southmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Seeger Patriots. The Mounties were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ella Barry paced Southmont's offense, picking up seven kills. Barry got some help from Haylee Hall and her ten assists. Barry was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Southmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Seeger, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Southmont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against University on the 23rd. As for Seeger, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Cascade on the 23rd.
