Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Douglass Academy). They put the hurt on the Esperanza Preparatory Academy Eagles with a sharp 21-1 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Douglass Academy pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Esperanza Preparatory Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
