Recap: Haralson County Rebels vs. Pepperell Dragons
The Haralson County Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 67-56 to Pepperell. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pepperell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eliot Goggans, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Carmelo Brown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Haralson County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Pepperell, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Haralson County will finish 2023 at home by hosting Cedartown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pepperell will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Mt. Zion is ranked 429th, while Pepperell is ranked 430th).
