Dakota waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Anchor Bay Tars, sneaking past 56-54. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Tars are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dakota's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Anchor Bay, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

As of now, neither Dakota nor Anchor Bay have any future games scheduled.
