Volleyball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Carroll was the 3-0 winner over Waynesville when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Monday.

Carroll was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Waynesville work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 20-25, 27-25.

Carroll's offense was headlined by Alyssa Fast and Grace Dooley, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Meghan Maxwell and her 20 assists. Fast also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Claire Clemens, each putting up five.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Waynesville, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

Carroll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Archbishop McNicholas on the 30th. As for Waynesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Dayton Christian on the 30th.
