Basketball Game Preview: Queensbury Spartans vs. Glens Falls Black Bears

Queensbury is 1-9 against Glens Falls since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Queensbury Spartans will head out to square off against the Glens Falls Black Bears at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Queensbury lost to Amsterdam at home by a 66-48 margin. The Spartans were down 54-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nate Sheerer, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of LaTrell Allen, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Glens Falls put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Schuylerville to the tune of 75-25. The Black Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 23 points or more this season.

Queensbury's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Glens Falls, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Queensbury took a serious blow against Glens Falls in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 83-52. Can Queensbury avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
