Softball Recap: Bishop Snyder Gets the Win

Bishop Snyder can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past the Creekside Knights 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since March 25th.

Caitlyn Boshell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Boshell wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Gotto, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Bishop Snyder's record now sits at 13-8. As for Creekside, their record is now an identical 13-8.

Coming up, Bishop Snyder will head out on the road to square off against Baldwin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Creekside, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Oakleaf at 6:30 p.m.
