Recap: Eunice Bobcats vs. Leesville Wampus Cats
It was a good run, but The Eunice Bobcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 48-24 loss at the hands of Leesville. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Eunice struggled afterwards.
It was another big night for Xavier Ford, who rushed for 309 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Ford hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Leesville, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3.
Eunice will take on LaGrange at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LaGrange will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Eunice is ranked 98th). As for Leesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Rayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
