Volleyball Recap: Syracuse Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Syracuse waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Southwestern Heights Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16.

Hailey Hampton paced Syracuse's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hampton got some help from Paige Haslett and her nine assists. Hampton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Southwestern Heights had strong showings from Mariah Mendoza, who had 15 assists and three digs, and Lindanis Puentes, who had eight digs.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Southwestern Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Syracuse wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Stanton County on the 29th. As for Southwestern Heights, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Wichita County on the 23rd.
