There's no place like home for Sparks, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Carson Senators 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Sparks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while Carson are ranked 36th).

Sparks' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Carson, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparks will venture away from home to face off against North Valleys at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Carson, they will head out to take on Galena at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
