Basketball Recap: La Center Piles Up the Points Against Stevenson

After losing to Stevenson the last time they met, La Center decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The La Center Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Stevenson Bulldogs 87-50. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 316th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win (which was La Center's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Stevenson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

La Center will take on King's Way Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. La Center knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully King's Way Christian likes a good challenge. As for Stevenson, they will square off against Castle Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Castle Rock has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three games.
