Basketball Recap: Sam Houston Takes a Loss

Sam Houston lost against Andress back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sam Houston Texans took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andress Eagles. The Texans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Sam Houston's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Andress, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sam Houston and South Grand Prairie will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Sam Houston is facing South Grand Prairie at the right time seeing as South Grand Prairie is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Andress will take on San Elizario in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Andress will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: San Elizario will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
